I’m slowly warming to cabbies only because my friend’s husband passed his Knowledge last year and is now a fully fledged cabbie and loves his job, loves his wife and loves her friends; this is a good thing.

OK, I’ll get to the point, I enjoyed your Blog “cab drivers guide to driving in the big smoke”; I guess because I was in complete agreement with it. Can I just add can drivers and pedestrians say THANK YOU, whether it’s a wave, a head nod, a flash of the lights or something just to acknowledge being given way or acknowledging a motorists non-compulsory act of kindness.

Thank-you’s make me happy. Snubs make me mad.

Too bloody right! In the city, people buy these things so they can get an advantage in traffic, sitting up high and blocking the view of honest cabbies. If I possibly can, I restore the balance. Always happy to let Miss Anxious in a tiny Toyota have a break, but Mr Smug in his sparkling Rangie can wait a bit.
